all the details

From dress code to travel, here’s your guide to the wedding weekend. Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions that we haven’t covered.

  • We love your little ones, however the weekend will be child-free outside of our nephews. We hope this gives you the chance to relax, celebrate and enjoy the festivities with us.

  • Gentlemen: please wear a suit.
Ladies: dress to impress in an elegant gown, dress or elevated separates. Think French château glamour

See dress code page for inspiration.

  • Carriages will be collecting guests from the Mecure Hotel in Angoulême at 2:00pm on the wedding day. For those not staying at the hotel, please make your way there to join the ride. Carriages will return guests to the hotel at 1:30am. For the pool party on Sunday, July 5th, carriages will depart the Mecure Hotel at 1:30pm and return at 10:00pm.

  • Our recommended hotel is the Mecure Hotel, Angoulême, where we’ve reserved rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. Carriages will collect and return from here on both days. If you’d like to stay elsewhere, we’ve included additional options under Travel & Accommodation.

  • Please RSVP by Saturday, January 3rd, 2025. You’ll also be able to submit your dietary requirements when you RSVP.

  • Menu selections will open on April 1st, 2026. You will be able to find the options on our menu page.

  • Your presence is truly present enough. However, if you’d like to give, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be amazing.

  • There’s plenty to enjoy close to the Château: kayak along the Tardoire River, cycle the scenic trail from Angoulême, ride horses through local forests or play golf at Golf International de la Prèze. You could also try hot-air ballooning over vineyards or join a truffle hunt in the Périgord.

  • Day trips include Angoulême’s cafés and art scene, Cognac’s world-famous distilleries and Bordeaux’s vineyards. Charming spots like Brantôme, La Rochelle and the Dordogne offer medieval streets, seaside escapes and picture-perfect villages.

  • Guests can enjoy everything from relaxed French bistros to fine dining. Local favourites include Les Sources de Fontbelle, The Garden, Chez Paul, La Toscane, Moulin de la Tardoire, and Auberge de Varaignes.
