Accommodation
Our wedding will take place at Château de la Couronne in Marthon, in the Charente region near the Dordogne border.
While the Château itself is private, we recommend staying in Angoulême, where we have secured availability at the Mercure Hotel.
Rooms are on a first - come, first - served basis so we encourage you to book early.
Rooms are available to book now and you will need to call the hotel and use the code 'Sofia and Patrick Wedding'..
Carriages will collect guests from the Mecure Hotel on both the Wedding Day and for the Pool Party.
Guests will then be collected and returned to the Mecure Hotel, as per the timings on the schedule.
If you choose to stay elsewhere, you’re very welcome to join the carriages — simply make your way to the Mercure Hotel for the departure times.

When searching for accommodation, we recommend checking multiple sites, as options can vary. New listings often appear on: Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, Google Hotels
We suggest looking for places between the village of Marthon and Angoulême (including the city), as most taxi services operate from Angoulême.
The nearby town of Montbron also offers additional amenities.
Travel
The closest airport to our wedding venue is Bordeaux (BOD). You can also fly into Limoges (LIG).
From Bordeaux Airport it’s around 1.5 hours by taxi to Angoulême (our hotel base). Taxis are available at the airport and can be booked in advance.
From Limoges Airport the journey is similar, taking around 1 hour 30 minutes by car.
You can also travel by train from Bordeaux to Angoulême (approx. 35–45 minutes on the TGV).
